Gale Moutrey leads global teams responsible for applying the insights gleaned from ongoing research about work, workers and the places people work, particularly as we enter a new era of hybrid work. She is publisher and Executive Editor of Steelcase 360 Magazine, a global publication that shares these learnings. In her role, Gale travels the world, virtually and physically, speaking with leading organizations about the changing nature of work and the increasingly important role of the workplace.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Gale has held a variety of communication and marketing roles since joining Steelcase in 1983, and lives in Toronto, Canada.
Working with schools and learning organizations across Canada and the United States, Barry shares insights gleaned from research conducted by Steelcase Education’s research group, and the applications and products developed from that work. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Barry joined Steelcase in 1985. He has held numerous leadership positions within the company including Regional Manager, Western Canada, and Director of Workplace Consulting for Steelcase Canada Limited. Barry has focused his time exclusively on the education market since 2002.
Barry speaks extensively to end-users, design professionals and members of professional associations such as IFMA, CEFPI, STLHE, APPA. OLA, and CORNET.
Organizations are trying to do the right thing – shifting to hybrid work models, raising salaries and benefits, offering free food and entertainment to get their people to come together. While these may help, they don’t provide what people really want: to feel valued and feel a sense of belonging to their organization.
